It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! - Just kidding. Everything here still looks the same. Hahaha. BUT if it means anything, there are about 3 houses here with some christmas lights! It's the effort that counts (:

This week was good, and luckily a lot more eventful than last week (haha. I am sick of staying at home..)

Sister Dias had to go to Teresina to see the doctors there about her knee, so sis Dias and Caetano left Tuesday morning. Hoping and praying that everything will work out, and that she can get the help she needs to be feeling better and walk normal again.

Hilarious experience of the week:

We were walking in the road, and saw a lady walking towards us. We greeted her with "boa tarde!" and she greeted us back and waved - to which Sister Finati thought was a high five. So of course, trying to return the gesture, Sister Finati almost hit a lady in the face trying to give a high five that wasn't intended. HAHAHA.

Tuesday we had district meeting, and then headed out to interview Francisca. We had to remark her baptism for the next week due to the fact that she is having a hard time with café/smoking but she received a blessing from Elder Davis, and said she was feeling so much strength spiritually. I am grateful for the priesthood, and the power that is so real and so strong. Pray for Francisca and that she can continue strong!

We were able to receive some great referrals this week, a great handful of families (YAY FAMILIES!) One of them we have already started to teach - Fran and Kennige, and they have two kids, Kenya and Daymon Bryant (sidenote: it is super funny to hear names like these here, because generally everybody has the name 'José', 'Lindilmara', 'Patricia', etc.) We taught them about prayer and invited them to start praying together as a family. I am super excited to see their progress, as well as contact these other families this week! We´ll have lots of other miracles to talk about this next week, for sure!

I hope everyone is getting excited for Christmas! Yesterday the stake had a christmas program - so good. I love the fact that no matter the language, or traditions, we all celebrate Christmas with the same Spirit. They showed this video before starating (which I LOVE so much). I always get chills watching this.

boa semana!
Sis Hill
