Teresina is good! To say that Teresina is hot is an understatement... hahaha but it's been pretty rainy this past week, so luckily it hasn't been too hot lately #tendermercies I am already seeing new tan lines after 5 days here. Our area has a much more "big city" vibe, which means that every one is a lot more rushed. We already have some funny stories trying to do contacts.
Like excuses that they were from South Korea and didn't understand what we were saying. hahaha life goes on.
Miracle of the week: We were knocking on doors in our area, and we met two girls named Karol and Maria. Karol's story is complicated, but long story short exactly 1 year and 1 month ago, she tried to commit suicide. We testified to her of the plan of salvation and focused on the atonement, and she just cried. So spiritual. As we were leaving, Sister Alves and I just talked about the fact that there are no coincidences, that we have exactly 1 year and 1 month in the mission... The Lord is so aware of his children it's amazing.
But life is good! A lot more rushed now. We are the sister training leaders of the staff here in teresina, so we are more or less responsible for all the sisters in the mission when they arrive here for whatever reason. Lots of responsiblity. And cleaning hahaha. But it's good! Grateful for a good companion, and the spirit who help me so so much.
