Why hello PARNAÍBA!

Yes, I returned to PARNAÍBA this week <3 We are the sister training leaders of the sisters in Parnaíba, so we had splits with them this week. So so strange to go back, seriously. As we were in the bus, I was telling a bunch of crazy stories to Sister Alves, just remembering all the things that happened with Sister Lucas and Sister Beraldo - all about exactly 1 year ago. Crazy all that can happen in just 1 year!

This week was a bit rough. Our two baptisms for this week - Lucas and Bruna - fell through, and both for almost the same reason. Lucas's family didn't want him to be baptized, and persuaded him not to/to stop going to church. Bruna feels that she is not ready, and has a lot of pressure from her mom not to be baptized as well.
It's really hard to see when this happens - especially when you are working with youth. Lucas is 14 and Bruna is 15 - and really, they both need the gospel so badly. I am hoping and praying that we can continue to help them, and that the hearts of their families will soften to feel the spirit and allow them to make this important step.

Miracle of the week: We were literally blessed with help from angels this week.
Our area here in Teresina is a tad dangerous, especially at night. And Friday night we were working in the center of the city, trying to contact a girl we met the other day. And Heavenly Father sent angels to help us - first was a taxi driver, who offered to take us to the address for free (so rare and nearly impossible here) "because he has a daughter, and wouldn't want her to be in this situation alone". And then as we were waiting to meet this girl (who never showed up), a man named John gave us directions and waited with us to make sure we were safe.

Feeling so grateful for good people in this world, and the protection that we receive as missionaries.

Hope everyone has a great week! Will send lots of pictures next week when I have more time!
